What is the difference between CPR Level A, CPR Level C, and BLS?”

CPR Level A: Focuses on CPR and AED training for adults only

CPR Level C: Encompasses CPR and AED training for adults, children, and infants.

BLS or Basic Life Support: Tailored for healthcare providers and first responders, offering comprehensive CPR training for adults, children, and infants, along with instruction on using Bag Valve Mask, 2-person rescue CPR, and other relevant techniques. This training is often taken by healthcare professionals such as Nurses, Paramedics, EMTs, Physicians, Dental Professionals, etc.

Is BLS the same as CPR HCP?

BLS or Basic Life Support training replaces CPR HCP.

Do I have to attend class to complete the training?

Yes, to receive your certification, you must attend the in-class training. You have the option to complete a blended training program, where you can finish part of the training online at your own pace and then attend the in-class session for final certification. The online portion covers the theoretical aspects, while the in-class component focuses on practical skills.

How long are the certifications valid for?

The Heart & Stroke BLS Provider certification is valid for 1 year.

The Heart & Stroke HeartSaver CPR AED certification is valid for 2 years.

Will the certification I receive be recognized by employers, colleges, and universities?

We are authorized providers for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and certifications are recognized and accepted by different employers, colleges, and universities.
